MODERNISM AND OTHER PATRIMONIAL ELEMENTS
The Terres de l'Ebre region, like any other territory, is alive! Its people interpret and transform the landscape to give meaning to our collective imagination. Monuments, premises and commemorative spaces explain the history in the public space.
The Roman, Renaissance or Modernist past can be seen in many corners of Tortosa, such as the Municipal Market or some of the houses in the center, as well as the Llotja, located in Teodor González Municipal Park. In Amposta, the suspension bridge, built in the early twentieth century and inspired by New York's Brooklyn Bridge, has become an architectural symbol of the city.
In Terra Alta region, you can visit the Abecedario de la Libertad – the Freedom ABC- in Corbera d'Ebre, a tribute to peace, located between the remains of Poble Vell de Corbera, destroyed during the Battle of the Ebro.
