TREKKING

Are you a trekking lover? Never before had this pleasure been so simple. Just walk! Inquisitive and sensitive spirits, open to discover the landscape and the local history, will find that this activity is one of their favorites. The Tierras del Ebro region has trails for any public and and hiking specialties.

In addition to the `Estels del Sud´(Stars of the South) route that crosses the Els Ports massif, the routes along the Ebro Delta or the Via Verda (Green Trail) are also a fantastic option. If you want to walk and discover the cliffs of the coast you can choose to visit the `Caminos de Ronda`, also known as the GR-92, from l'Ametlla de Mar to Alcanar.

The GR 99 is one of the last great trails approved within the Catalan network of trails. The route, as a whole, accompanies the Ebro River along 1,200 km from its birth in Cantabria to the mouth of the Delta, following the historic roads. The Catalan section begins in Mequinenza, the Aragonese village of the `Franja de Poniente´, and ends in the Mediterranean Sea, at the Ebro Delta tip. Put some good on boots and just walk!
