Located in the old oil mill of Martí, one of the oldest rural constructions in Santa Bárbara, which has been rehabilitated to host the interpretation center.
The permanent exhibition explains the colonization and exploitation of the Montsià Plain, from the 18th century, in seven thematic areas: the physical characteristics of the Plain; Colonization and new populations of these areas; The Martí rural construction and its architecture; the traditional olive tree cultivation; traditional production, use and commercialization of olive oil and the transformations happened in this industry in recent times. It also includes a paleontological and mineralogical collection, and a polyvalent hall to host events and exhibitions.
