The Montsià mountain range is a mountainous complex, parallel to the Mediterranean coast, located to the south of the Tierras del Ebro region. It extends from the Ebro river (to the north) to the Sénia river (to the south), with a length of 20 kilometers and a width of 6. Its highest point is the Pic del Montsià (764 m), although one of the most charismatic summits is La Foradada which, at almost 700 m above sea level, is a magnificent natural lookout over the Ebro Delta. The terrain of the range is calcareous and of great beauty, and covered with shrubs. The villages of Alcanar, Ulldecona, Freginals, Amposta and Sant Carles de la Ràpita reside at their feet.
