Aguardiente de Prat de Comte
In Prat de Comte many families distilled spirits to complete their economy. In fact, this liquor has been linked to the Catalan peasants for centuries. It is made from the residue of the press to make wine, the `brisa´ (breeze), which is boiled in the alembic. The spirit comes from the condensation of alcohol vapours. The drink is can be taken alone or used as a base of liquors such as `ratafia´ or `mistela´.
