Jornadas Gastronómicas de la Galera
The four maritime municipalities come together to offer exquisite gastronomic menus in their restaurants during the months of February and March, with the galera as protagonist, a tyoical, high quality local product of the Ebro maritime area. This crustacean, abundant in areas near to deltas where the waters are rich in nutrients, is an excellent source of high quality proteins, vitamins and minerals. Unlike other crustaceans, the galera is low in calories and easily digested. Its meat is delicate and tasty, which facilitates its preparation. With these days, the aim is to highlight the importance of fish and seafood in the culinary tradition of the area.
