Delta Polet takes you out from the heart of the Delta to eat local produce in the bay by bike and kayak
Our activity centre is right in the middle of the Delta Ebro, 1.5 km along the road from Deltebre to Marquesa beach. Here we showcase the traditional culture of the area, based in cultivating rice and other basic commodities by hand before mechanisation and the use of chemicals. We discuss local history, how life was for the inhabitants of the Delta and their customs and folklore.
After that we’ll take a guided bike ride beside rice fields, canals, irrigation systems and the Ebro’s estuaries to our destination at Fangar bay where the contrasting views and rich birdlife are a glory to behold.
Following this we’ll row out to the mussel farms to enjoy the wide open views of this unique landscape.
We disembark at a jetty structure in the middle of the bay where we can try out a range of local products such as mussels, oysters and rice dishes.
