The “cases caigudes” (Fallen Houses) of Pinell de Brai are a clear reminder of the state in which the population remained after four months of fighting and bombing during the Ebro Battle. Their neighbours, about 1,800 in 1938, found a destroyed population upon returning home after months of evacuation. The ruins of about ten houses have become, over the years, one of the historical reminders of the Ebro Battle.
