Platja Morro de Gos
Santa Llúcia, Morro de Gos and La Buena Beaches form one of the longest stretches of beach in the municipal area of El Perelló (Terres de l'Ebre), as well as some of the beaches most appreciated by families for their services, characteristics and the peace of mind they gives when using them with children.
Of considerable size, some 500 m long by 10 m wide, Santa Llúcia Beach is made up of fine stones and stands out for its natural beauty and the sands that slope gently into the crystal clear waters of the sea. It is bordered by a wide promenade flanked by pine trees and agave plants that ends in a rocky outcrop, a popular spot to fish from. The beach is on the GR-92 Mediterranean long-distance footpath that runs in parallel with the coastal footpath, making it very popular with hikers.
Santa Llúcia Beach is also very rich in environmental terms and hosts a wide variety of marine species. This, together with the quality of its waters, makes it ideal for snorkelling.
A differentiating aspect of this beach is that every year it hosts the town’s patron saints day festival and dance on August 14 and 15. A supper open to allcomers, music and a series of family activities culminates in a spectacular fireworks display.
