Cala Pepo, also known as Caleta de Joanet, is a small cove that you will find while walking next to the L'Ametlla de Mar Yacht Club breakwater. It is just over 25 m long by 15 m wide and is bordered by Mediterranean vegetation, mainly pine and scrubland inland and posidonia on the seabed. All in all, despite being located next to the urban centre and benefitting from the different services in its surroundings, its tends to be uncrowded and is therefore a good option if you’re seeking some tranquil beach time.

Its services include car parking, bars, restaurants, signage, showers, toilets and access ramps for people with reduced mobility. The beached is cleaned daily.

Cala Pepo beach is basically fine golden sand, although once you enter the water you’ll notice there are often small pebbles under your feet. It is also an interesting cove due to the orography of the seabed, with very attractive rock formations and the aforementioned posidonia reefs for scuba diving enthusiasts. So don't forget your goggles for snorkelling!

Thanks to its proximity to the Yacht Club, it’s easy to find water sports facilities and equipment, canoeing or kayaking, for example. Cala Pepo is also an access point for hikers joining the GR-92 Mediterranean long-distance footpath.
