Cala Maria
Cala Maria in the municipality of L’Ampolla (Baix Ebre county) is set amidst cliffs and pine wood. Awarded the flag for unspoilt beaches, this quiet, welcoming cove with a beach of small stones offers peace and quiet and the ideal setting for a good walk by the sea. If you’re a hiking enthusiast, you should know that Cala Maria is part of the L'Ampolla Cliffs Route and the GR-92 long-distance Mediterranean footpath.
Located in the Urbanització Cap Roig residential estate, Cala Maria cove is only about 60 m long and 15 m wide. It can be reached on foot and only offers the essential services, such as daily cleaning, litter bins and signage.
If you enjoy snorkelling, don't forget your goggles. Here you can discover and admire a variety of sea life. Like the other beaches and coves of L'Ampolla, Cala Maria is a gateway to the Ebro Delta.
