The `laúds´ were special boats used in the past to transport goods on the Ebro river. They could carry up to 30 tons downstream and 16 tons upstream. In Benifallet, a village on the bank of the river about 25 km from Tortosa, there is the reproduction of one of these `laúds´ that is used to make excursions along a stretch of the Ebro. The seasons begins in the Easter Week, and excursions take place during all days of the Easter Week. During April, May, June, September and October, the excursions take place on the weekends, and during July and August, on every day. Group excursions can be booked.
