In the old site of Almudèfer are still the remains of the old castle with a tower of rectangular shape. At the foot of the fortress is the church of Santa Anna, with a Gothic polygonal apse of the 14th century. Of Arab origin, it passed to Christian domination after the “Reconquista”, the reconquest. In fact, in the year 1280 the Templar commander of Mira vet granted the farm of Mudèfer to two neighbours of Horta so that they repopulated it. The castle suffered a fire in the middle of the last century, and at that time the place was still inhabited.
