Castellot de la Roca Roja is one of the best preserved Iberian villages in Catalonia. It is located in the passage of Barrufemes, a gorge of the Ebro river, of about 15 km of length between Miravet and Tivenys, embedded between the Cardó mountain range. The Iberian site is located above a rocky hill on the left bank of the Ebro rive, approximately 40 meters above the river level.
