Platja Pont de l’Àlia

Pont de l'Àlia Beach is located on the boundary between L’Ametlla de Mar and El Perelló (northern Terres de l'Ebre). The name derives from the fact that the beach, which is 115 m long and 15 m wide, is part of a small peninsula on which the Punta de l'Àliga watchtower is preserved. The tower was built in 1598 and today is a spectacular and popular viewpoint.

The fact that it is quite far from the urban centre means it is not a very crowded beach. Its fine golden sand is mixed with small pebbles and rocks. Its services include showers, beach bars and non-typical parking.

The calm, crystal clear waters and rich marine life make Pont de l'Àlia Beach very popular with divers and snorkellers, and its natural surroundings are crossed by the GR-92 Mediterranean long-distance footpath, so it is common to find hikers there.
