The Rock Paintings of Cabra Freixet of El Perelló were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1998.
These paintings had a religious and magical value, since they are a clear reflection of how they lived our more primitive ancestors, and also of the animals that surrounded them.
Over time, most have been lost, but there is still a magnificent group of figures preserved showing a hunter with a wad of arrows in his hand, a goat and a deer. It is estimated that the paintings are between 25,000 and 15,000 years old, and therefore are considered the oldest in the territory.
They are easily accessible by a well signposted route.
