DISCOVERING THE DELTA BY BICYCLE
Ecotourism is what’s on offer here, an experience that reveals the the Ebro Delta in all its natural beauty, at its most charming. On the first day we get our bearings and visit the Ecomuseum. On the second day we get on bicycles, cycle along the ancient “Sirga” pathway for 8 kms until we reach “Sapinya” island. This is the Delta at its purest. With more than 130 listed species of vegetation, the riverbank woodland is in a superb state of biodiversity and conservation. We leave the bikes here at Sapinya and start downriver by kayak, following closely the surrounding spectacle of Nature until we reach “Gràcia” island and onwards to the jetty at Riu a l’Ebre. The day ends with a tasting menu of Delta cuisine and local produce. On the third day, we’ll explore the landscapes in the eastern part of the Delta by bike and take a picnic to enjoy on the way.
This flexible package can be put together over any number of days and nights, combining accommodation and activities as desired. Given the completely flat conditions the rides are suitable for all ages, including children of more than 6 years of age. Electric bikes are available if required.
