Platja de la Marquesa in Deltebre is one of the most picturesque and popular beaches in the entire Ebro Delta Natural Park. Just over one kilometre long and 110 metres wide, it stands out for its dunes, some of the best preserved in the Delta. They are not only found in the sand; some even extend a few metres into the sea. This practically unspoilt beach is in the south of El Fangar Peninsula.

It is a very quiet, which allows you to enjoy the sun and relax peacefully in privileged surroundings. Its fine sand and calm waters have merited a Blue Flag for quality certificate. It is also a nudist beach and pets are allowed as long as they are kept on a leash so as not to bother other users. The beach has no services, but it does have a restaurant –Vascos– serving typical Delta cuisine.

La Marquesa Beach can be reached by car via the TV-3451 road. From the A-7 motorway take Exit 39 for L'Ampolla-Deltebre and from there merge with the TV-3451. Vehicles can be left along the access roads to the beach and in the wide open spaces on both sides.

• IMPORTANT. La Marquesa Beach is part of the Ebro Delta Natural Park and, as in the other areas of the park, there are no litter bins or rubbish containers. Take your rubbish home or dispose of it in the containers of one of the Delta’s municipalities. Recycle whenever you can.
