In this list could would not be complete without Horta de Sant Joan, one of the most picturesque villages of the Terra Alta region. Its mountainous surroundings and the medieval alleyways of the historic centre give it an almost magical character. The itinerary through the village begins in the square with porches of the Church, which gathers a spectacular architectural ensemble. It is an austere-looking church with a small wooden choir and a large nave in the Gothic style with the buttresses anchored in the gorge of the hill. The access through the small square with arcades does not explain the feeling of width that one has once inside. A highly recommended visit!
